Monday: Nottingham make the playoffs
The final round of league matches kicked off on Monday as Nottingham travelled to Pontefract. The home side needed 18 points to have a chance of going through, but for Nottingham any sort of win would suffice to see them into the playoffs.
The first four ties were shared as the match went one-all then two-all, setting up a decider between James Willstrop and Nick Matthew. Willstrop took the lead, but Matthew stormed back to take the match and clinch the playoff place for Nottingham.
